Donor ID Changes & Print Your Donor ID from Home

We’re Updating Our Donor IDs — Here’s What to Know

A planned technology upgrade is coming on January 20, 2026.

From January 17 – 19, we’re undergoing a planned technology upgrade. As part of this update, all Donor IDs will be converted to a new 8-digit ID number.

To support this update, all SBC donation locations will be temporarily closed.

Important Dates:

  • Extended Hours
    • Wednesday, 1/14 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. at South Bay and Menlo Park donor centers
    • Thursday, 1/15 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. at South Bay and Mountain View donor centers
    • Tuesday, 1/20 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. at South Bay and Menlo Park donor centers
  • All Locations Closed: Saturday, January 17 – Monday, January 19, 2026
  • Reopening: Tuesday, January 20, 2026 with extended hours (see above)

Your donor account, donation history, and personal information remain safe and unchanged. Once the update is complete, your new Donor ID will be reflected in the donor portal.

Your new 8-digit Donor ID will be available digitally through the SBC mobile app (recommended), or you can print a free ID card at home if you prefer by ordering a copy from the Donor Loyalty Store. We are discontinuing plastic ID cards entirely with this transition.

WHERE TO FIND YOUR NEW DONOR ID

On the Donor Portal website

  1. Log in to sbcdonor.org
    2. Your new Donor ID will display in the left sidebar on desktop screens.
    3. For mobile users (phones and tablets), visit the “My Account” tab in the menu. Your Donor ID displays about halfway down the list.

On the mobile app

  1. Download the Stanford Blood Center app from your mobile app store (find direct links at https://stanfordbloodcenter.org/app). Please note that the app is currently for iPhone and Android phones only (not optimized for tablets).
  2. Your Donor ID will be displayed on the “Me” tab.

PRINTING YOUR DONOR ID FROM HOME

On the Donor Portal website

  1. Log in to sbcdonor.org
  2. Click the Store tab and order from the Donor Loyalty Store for 0 points
  3. Check your email for a printable PDF with your Donor ID card

On the mobile app

  2. Visit the “Shop” tab.
  3. Add the Donor ID card to your cart for 0 points and check out.
