I started donating when my cousin’s wife was diagnosed with leukemia. In the face of this tragic disease, she not only thought of herself, but of others as well. She kept family and friends informed of her progress and treatments, and never missed an opportunity to ask us to donate blood and register as organ donors. Rachel passed away about 2 years after her diagnosis. I do this in her memory to help others like her to hopefully have a happy life.
