Daniel Boñaga
Daniel Boñaga is the Stanford Blood Center’s Quality and Regulatory Affairs Director. In 2014, he made the move from Virginia Blood Services after nearly 17 years in various roles in Collections, Quality Assurance, Project Management and Information Technology. He immigrated from the Philippines where he earned his medical degree at Saint Louis University and Bachelor of Science at the University of the Philippines.
Daniel is a Certified Quality Auditor and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence with the American Society for Quality, as well as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He currently serves as one of the assessors for the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies and is an AABB Regulatory Affairs Committee member. He’s also an active member of the California Blood Bank Society.
In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and his two boys and loves sharpening his skills in archery and trap shooting as well as playing golf with his sons. He often remarks, “Family time in California’s wonderful sunny weather is always the best time, especially after a long, daily commute.”
