Daniel Boñaga
Daniel Boñaga is the Stanford Blood Center’s Quality and Regulatory Affairs Director. In 2014, he made the move from Virginia Blood Services after occupying various roles in Collections, Quality Assurance, Project Management and Information Technology for nearly 17 years. He immigrated from the Philippines where he earned his medical degree at Saint Louis University and Bachelor of Science at the University of the Philippines.
Daniel is a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CQM/OE) with American Society for Quality (ASQ) — as well as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt! He currently serves as one of the AABB assessors, an AABB Regulatory Affairs Committee member and as an active member with the California Blood Bank Society.
He enjoys being with his family and his two boys. In his spare time, he loves sharpening his skills in archery and trap shooting as well as playing golf with his sons. He often remarks, “Family time is always the best time, especially after a daily long commute; but wonderful sunny weather in California.”
