Renee Gipson

Renee is proud to be a member of the Stanford Blood Center community for over 15 years! In her current position of Director of Donor Services, she works closely with all blood center departments and SBC’s customers to provide the best customer service, donor care and blood products for our donors and patients. Her oversight includes donor recruitment, donor collections, training, operations support and data management and support of 120 dedicated and passionate staff. With over five decades of deep leadership experience across multiple industries, she is a skilled silo buster, thought partner, team builder and coach. Her mission as a committed servant leader is clear: empower all staff to live to their full potential in service of SBC’s mission.

Renee is a member of a number of industry organizations such as AABB, ABC, WELC and ADRP as well as the National Charity League, There with Care and the Young Men’s Service League.

Renee and her husband are embracing their recent transition to an empty nest. Most weekends you’ll find her scrapbooking, reading, and going for long walks with Nesta, her 72 pound black lab.
