Critical Blood Shortage: All Types Needed

We need your help. Our inventory for all blood types is critically low, due to increased usage. This past weekend alone, we provided blood for five patients, including two for aortic aneurisms. We are now rationing our blood supply for our hospital partners and even one more patient could put us further behind.
In addition, we’ve seen a number of cancelled appointments this week due to illness. The CDC reported on Friday that flu activity is now at a level they consider “widespread” among 35 states, with California making that list. Our inventory has taken a hit and it’s unclear how long this will continue.
We are asking anyone who is eligible to give blood to please make an appointment to donate in the next day or so.
