Both my children were preemies and required blood transfusions (special preemie blood) from the Stanford Blood Bank. I think of this when I give blood. I am always grateful to those who gave and to the Stanford Blood Bank. Today, both of my children are healthy — one graduated from college, the other is on her way. Always thankful.
